Sleep Week

Proposed prototype location

The right setting for sleep restoration.

Santa Monica Proper Hotel · 700 Wilshire Boulevard · Santa Monica, California. A restored 1920s landmark building with Kelly Wearstler-designed interiors and 262 rooms and suites, minutes from the ocean and morning outdoor light.

Why here

A luxury wellness destination, used as a clinical environment.

Santa Monica Proper already sits at the intersection of design, coastal wellness and modern recovery. Sleep Week adds a new layer: structured clinical assessment, controlled nightly experiments and a personalized plan that extends beyond the stay.

Coastal Circadian Reset

Ocean-adjacent morning light and a walkable shoreline make outdoor light exposure practical rather than theoretical, the anchor of the daily protocol.

Restorative Wellness Rooms

The hotel already offers Restorative Wellness Rooms with advanced sleep technology, air purification, wellness amenities and curated take-home products. Sleep Week builds a clinical layer on top of an environment that is already designed for rest.

Surya Spa

Ayurvedic-rooted treatments are scheduled deliberately, timed to lower pre-sleep arousal on the afternoons before measured nights.

Recovery and Contrast Therapy

Recovery Suites, sauna, cold plunge and red-light therapy are sequenced against your own recovery data instead of a fixed menu.

Sleep-Supportive Dining

Mediterranean-inspired cooking adapted to evening timing, lighter late meals and personal caffeine and alcohol cutoffs.

Private, Design-Led Hospitality

Kelly Wearstler-designed interiors across 262 rooms and suites in a restored 1920s landmark building, privacy, texture and quiet as clinical assets.

On property

Recovery infrastructure already in place.

Surya Spa, daily movement programming, a rooftop pool, Recovery Suites, sauna, cold plunge, red-light therapy, fitness facilities and Mediterranean-inspired dining.

The hotel already offers Restorative Wellness Rooms with advanced sleep technology, air purification, wellness amenities and curated take-home product opportunities. That makes it a logical environment for a deeper clinical sleep program rather than an ordinary hotel retrofit.
